Factory House of the Year 2026 — overall winner
Overall winner of Factory House of the Year 2026. A striking public building wrapped in factory-made timber facade and roof elements.
The Nature Hub shows what a prefabricated envelope can look like when architecture leads. Its insulated timber facade and roof elements were engineered from the BIM model and built indoors while the main frame went up on site.
Each element left the factory with insulation, wind barrier and battens in place — and, where specified, windows and finished cladding. The building was closed and weather-tight far sooner than with scaffold-based facade work.
In 2026 the project was named the overall winner of the Factory House of the Year competition, and the best facade-element project.
